From Coast-to-Coast-to-Coast; today's Friendship Centres play a pivotal role in providing essential Aboriginal cultural based programs and services to a growing Canadian urban Aboriginal population. For more thanÂ half-of-a-centuryÂ Friendship Centres across the country have contributed to the strengthening of the urban Aboriginal community and have established a strong reputation among municipal, provincial and federal governments as a viable resource for managing and coordinating government funded urbanÂ Aboriginal programs and services.
