Roundtable on Gender and Economic Development
In October NAFC Executives attended a two-day meeting hosted by the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs on Gender and Economic Development. During the two day meeting NAFC President Vera Pawis Tabobondung presented a speech

National Day of Healing and Reconciliation (NDHR)
In May 2010 the NAFC hosted and participated in a dialogue session focused on Reconciliation. Participants to this 'talking circle' expressed their thoughts and experiences about Reconciliation and the impact of the Residential Schools amongst other life experiences.

Council of the Federation
The NAFC continued its efforts this summer for recognition and inclusion into the Aboriginal Affairs Working Group (AAWG) of the Council of the Federation. The NAFC commissioned three position papers on the following topics: Economic Development; Violence against Aboriginal Women and Education.
